The Distribution Assistant/Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient distribution of INSIDE’s publications and other materials. This position involves coordinating distributors, optimising delivery routes, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to revenue generation. Additionally, the Distribution Assistant/Manager serves as a role model for company values and actively supports a positive work culture.

Main Responsibilities:

Recruit and organise distributors:
o Identify potential distributors and onboard them.
o Maintain a pool of reliable distributors for various distribution rounds.

Ensure all rounds are filled:
o Regularly assess distribution rounds and ensure they are adequately staffed.
o Address any gaps promptly to prevent disruptions in distribution.

Populate rounds:
o Efficiently allocate distribution routes to distributors.
o Optimise delivery schedules and routes for maximum efficiency.

Payment to distributors:
o Process timely payments to distributors based on completed rounds.
o Maintain accurate records of payments.

Map analysis and distribution quality:
o Analyse distribution maps to identify areas for improvement.
o Monitor distribution quality and address any anomalies or issues.

Role model and support company culture:
o Uphold company values, including respect, professionalism, safety, sustainability, and community engagement.
o Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
o Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
o Promote safe practices among distributors.

Deliver high levels of service:
o Maintain excellent relationships with customers and colleagues.
o Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly.

Revenue generation:
o Explore opportunities to increase revenue through efficient distribution practices.
Customer acquisition:
o Collaborate with marketing and sales to attract new customers.
o Develop strategies to expand the publication’s reach.

Leaflet/Flyer clients:
o Coordinate with advertisers and leaflet/flyer clients for distribution.
o Ensure timely delivery of promotional materials.

Flexibility and adaptability:
o Be prepared to undertake any reasonable task as requested by the business owner.

Skills and qualifications

• Previous experience in distribution, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Technical proficiency to be able to effectively use distribution and other software and tools is preferred.
• Willingness to undertake physically challenging work.
• Commitment to company values and culture.
• Driving Licence essential.

The job role is mobile as part of a team and will require enthusiastic and reliable individuals with a full UK driving license.
This job is primarily covering the Worthing, West Sussex area.

You must have the right to work in the UK and for both safety and customer service reasons speak fluent English.

Benefits: Training, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, uniform & PPE provided.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday with some flexibility.
Salary: Up to £15.00-£20.00 per hour based on skills and experience.
