Food banks in Adur and Worthing have praised the community for helping to raise over £22,500 as part of a crowdfunding campaign.The Fund our Food Banks crowdfunder was launched in December 2022 to support the 3,000 people who need help from food banks in the area every month by Adur and Worthing Food Network, Adur & Worthing Councils and Community Works, a local organisation that supports the voluntary sector.

40 local authorities meet to demand action on Southern Water’s failings
Councillors from Adur and Worthing have teamed up with their counterparts from across the region to demand Southern Water clean up its act.Representatives from more than 40 councils across the South East met to discuss how they could work together to better hold the water company to account over pollution and infrastructure failures.

Transformation of old RAF Air Cadets site is taking off
Plans to turn a RAF Air Cadets site in Worthing into some much-needed emergency accommodation for families have been submitted.Worthing Borough Council is determined to tackle the housing crisis in the town and wants to transform the empty brownfield site at 20-22 Victoria Road to help with the issue. There are more than 1,600 people on the housing register.
