It’s hoped responses will identify key steps that could be taken by the Councils and its partners to help protect businesses, their staff and the local economy. The feedback will also be used at regional and national levels as evidence to demonstrate how businesses have been affected across Adur and Worthing.

The survey can be completed online in less than 10 minutes. Businesses can even submit their feedback anonymously if they don’t want to be involved in future conversations about the challenging conditions and support available.

Cllr Steve Neocleous, Adur’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Strategic Planning, said: “We are very aware of the challenges facing businesses across Adur and want to ensure we’re doing everything we can to help support them and our residents.

“This questionnaire aims to seek honest feedback from traders to give the Councils and our partners on this project a platform to make positive changes for all.”

Cllr John Turley, Worthing’s Cabinet Member for Resources, said: “I’d really encourage local businesses to take part in this survey. They’ve had an incredibly challenging few years and we want to ensure that businesses in the borough have the right support available to them and feel they can work collaboratively with each other to get through these testing times.”
