Eight much-loved green spaces earn national recognition

Eight green spaces in Adur and Worthing have again been awarded the Green Flag for their successful management, great quality and achieving the highest environmental standards.

In Adur Lancing Manor, Buckingham Park, Lancing Ring and Shoreham Beach have all once again retained the honour, while Beach House Park, Field Place, Highdown Gardens and Marine Gardens in Worthing won the coveted award again.

Greener plans for new Worthing block of flats approved

New trees and green space will surround a proposed new Worthing block of flats approved by councillors.

Columbia House Development Limited intends to build 78 flats on the site of a former office car park in Romany Road, Durrington.

Worthing Borough Council’s planning committee has approved the application for a seven-storey building next to Columbia House.

Have your say on EV charge points in Adur and Worthing

West Sussex County Council is leading a scheme to introduce electric vehicle (EV) charge points across Adur and Worthing to encourage more people to switch to more sustainable travel. Eesidents can have their say on where they would like to see the new charge points in the county.

Around 1,500 requests for charge points in the county have already been received and the feedback generated from the public will help establish where the final locations are situated.
