Cut in short-term parking fees to lure shoppers back to town centre

Worthing is to cut some of its short-term car parking charges to attract shoppers back to the town centre.

Visitors will benefit from a reduction in parking fees for the second hour of their stay at Worthing Borough Council’s three multi-storey car parks from March 28.

Major employers flock to Worthing for young recruits

Young people in Adur and Worthing will be given a taste of the career opportunities available to them as part of National Careers Week 2022.

The OneStop Youth Employment Hub - a joint project between Adur & Worthing Councils and the Department for Work and Pensions - will be running a series of activities and workshops during National Careers Week (7-12 March) to encourage young people to connect with local employers and gain employability skills.

30 Michael Jones Estate Agents to take on Tough Mudder for charity

Continuing their 30th anniversary celebrations, over 30 team members at Worthing Estate Agent, Michael Jones, have signed up to brave the Tough Mudder challenge for three local charity partners: AudioActive, Wadars Animal Rescue and Care for Veterans.

The 10km Tough Mudder is a fun-packed 20 obstacle event taking place in the heart of London at Finsbury Park on Saturday 2nd April. Though not a race, it’s famous for pushing the physical and mental limits of participants.
