Neighbourhoods across Worthing are looking greener just one year on from the launch of a new town-wide tree sponsorship scheme.Following the action of residents, businesses and community groups, more than 80 community-sponsored trees have been planted across the town in the last 12 months, enhancing local streets and supporting biodiversity.

Weekly food waste collections set for phased roll-out in Adur and Worthing
Domestic food waste collections will begin in Adur and Worthing by spring 2026 after more funding to start rolling out the service was secured.A phased roll-out of weekly food waste collections will launch in March 2026, with household refuse and recycling collections continuing to happen every two weeks.

More green spaces in Adur and Worthing have been nationally recognised for their management, environmental standards and appearance.Nine of Adur & Worthing Councils’ parks, reserves and gardens have been awarded the Green Flag thanks to the hard work of its parks team and the dedicated volunteers that help maintain the area’s green spaces.

Sussex Bay launches publicly to a packed house at the Corn Exchange, Brighton Dome
An ambitious new collaborative initiative working to enhance and accelerate nature’s recovery along the Sussex coastline was launched on Thursday 13th June 2024 at the Corn Exchange, Brighton Dome.The vision for Sussex Bay is 100 miles of coastline where our seascape and rivers flourish. A healthy blue ecosystem in which nature, people and local economy can thrive. The Sussex Bay area is an extensive seascape from Selsey Bill to Camber Sands and is home to over 1 million residents.
