Neighbourhoods across Worthing are looking greener just one year on from the launch of a new town-wide tree sponsorship scheme.Following the action of residents, businesses and community groups, more than 80 community-sponsored trees have been planted across the town in the last 12 months, enhancing local streets and supporting biodiversity.

Councillor Sophie Cox becomes new leader of Worthing Borough Council
Councillor Sophie Cox has been elected as the new leader of Worthing Borough Council.She succeeds Dr Beccy Cooper, who stood down as a councillor earlier this month following her election as the new MP for Worthing West.
Cllr Cox, who represents Castle Ward, was previously the deputy leader of the council. She named Cllr Rita Garner as the new deputy leader at the meeting of the full council at Worthing Town Hall last night (23/7/24).
