Worthing Festival handed over to the community

After two successful years, Worthing Borough Council has handed the town’s summertime celebration of arts and culture over to the community.

Preparations for next year’s new-look Worthing Festival are now underway, with local creatives having taken on the management of the celebration for the first time.

Event listings go live for Worthing Festival ‘24

Bookings are now live for more than 100 events covering music, art, heritage, comedy and family entertainment that have been registered as part of this year’s Worthing Festival.

Local creatives, businesses and community groups have jumped on board the town's summertime celebration of arts and culture, which runs from 8th to 23rd June.

New exhibition space launches at Highdown Gardens

Local creatives can now exhibit their work amongst Worthing’s unique collection of picturesque plants thanks to the launch of a new exhibition space at Highdown Gardens.

The gardens, at the top of Highdown Rise, off Littlehampton Road, have long been an inspiration for artists and photographers, with their beautiful collection of rare flowers, trees and shrubs from all over the world.

Following the creation of a new space, named Highdown Gallery, creatives, as well as art and craft groups, can now present their work surrounded by the stunning display of Worthing’s much-loved and free-to-access chalk gardens.

Register your interest for Worthing Festival ‘24

Registration is now open for local creatives, businesses and community groups looking to put on an event as part of this year’s Worthing Festival.

People of all ages and backgrounds are being encouraged to get involved with Worthing’s summertime celebration of arts and culture.

Worthing Festival ‘24 will run from 8th to 23rd June 2024, hosting two weeks of action-packed events covering music, dance, art, heritage, comedy and more.
