Time for Worthing has worked in partnership with local historian Chris Hare to update the existing network of natural and cultural heritage sites.

The five new trails - funded by Worthing Borough Council with some additional sponsorship for the Worthing Town Trail from the Rotary Club - are set to be unveiled by Adur & Worthing Councils chief executive Catherine Howe and Cllr Rita Garner, Cabinet Member for Culture & Leisure, tomorrow (Friday, 11am) at The Highdown hotel, on Littlehampton Road.

The trails start at and cover:

1.Highdown Gardens and Hill

2.Tarring village

3.Cissbury Ring

4.Worthing town centre

5.Pier, parks and seafront

The new trails, which include advice about suitability for those with access requirements and mobility needs, have all been given a modern twist as maps of the networks will be available digitally via Issu on the Time for Worthing website from Friday, July 1st.

Free-of-charge printed leaflets will also be available from Worthing libraries including Central Worthing, Broadwater, Durrington, Findon and Goring, as well as from the Visitor Point at the Coastal Office on the promenade from the end of July.

Information includes distance of the routes, the duration of walks, as well as information for people with mobility requirements.
